Belean (“Belean”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process, and protect information when you use the Belean mobile application.
Belean is an Android application that helps users visually track skin appearance over time using photos, artificial intelligence, and progress history. Belean is intended for cosmetic and personal tracking purposes only.
By using Belean, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Important Medical Disclaimer
Belean is not a medical device, healthcare provider, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional medical advice.
The app does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure acne, skin diseases, or any medical condition. Any scores, visual markers, skin appearance indicators, progress charts, or daily tips are provided for general cosmetic tracking and informational purposes only.
If you have a skin condition, severe irritation, pain, infection, allergic reaction, or any medical concern, you should consult a qualified dermatologist or healthcare professional.
2. Eligibility
Belean is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. The app is not directed to children or minors. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we may delete the account and related personal data.
3. Information We Collect
We collect information that is necessary to provide the app’s features, including account access, skin appearance tracking, AI-based visual analysis, progress history, notifications, subscriptions, and app security.
3.1 Account Information
When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we may collect and store:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your Google account profile photo
- Your app account identifier
- Your selected gender in the app
We use this information to create and manage your Belean account.
3.2 Skin Profile and Onboarding Information
During onboarding or app use, you may provide information such as: gender, skin type, skin tone, skin goals, product or cream name. This information is used to personalize your cosmetic tracking experience and general app content.
3.3 Photos and Visual Scan Data
When you upload or capture a face photo for a scan, we may collect and store:
- The original face photo
- Cropped images of visible skin spots or blemish-like areas
- AI-generated visual analysis results
- Visual markers, coordinates, and detected areas
- Counts, progress indicators, and cosmetic skin appearance scores
- Scan history and progress records
- Technical AI response data related to the scan
Photos and scan data are used to provide the core features of the app, including visual tracking, progress comparison, and scan history.
Belean does not use your face photos for face recognition, identity verification, biometric identification, or identifying who you are. The app uses photos only to analyze visible skin appearance for cosmetic tracking.
3.4 Subscription and Purchase Information
If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your credit card number, debit card number, carrier billing details, or full payment information.
We may store limited subscription-related information, such as subscription status, product or plan identifier, purchase token or transaction reference, trial usage status, subscription start, renewal, cancellation, or expiration status.
3.5 Notifications Information
If you enable notifications, we may collect and use device notification identifiers or push tokens to send app notifications, such as reminders or app-related updates. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings or from the app settings, if available.
3.6 App Usage, Device, and Diagnostic Information
We may collect limited technical and usage information, such as app opens, onboarding completion, scan completion, subscription screen interactions, app version, device type, operating system version, crash logs, error logs, and performance information. This information helps us improve the app, fix bugs, maintain security, and understand how users interact with Belean.
4. How We Use Information
We use collected information to create and manage your account, allow Google Sign-In authentication, process and display your skin appearance scans, generate AI-based cosmetic visual analysis, show progress history and comparisons over time, display scan results, visual markers, cropped images, and cosmetic scores, provide general daily tips, manage free scan limits and subscription access, send notifications if enabled, improve app performance and reliability, detect technical issues, crashes, or abuse, protect the app, users, and our systems, and comply with legal, regulatory, and platform requirements.
We do not use your photos to identify you personally through facial recognition. We do not use your photos or personal scan data to train our own AI models.
5. AI Processing
Belean uses artificial intelligence to help analyze uploaded face photos and identify visible skin appearance areas for cosmetic tracking. To provide this feature, your photos and related scan data may be processed by third-party AI processing providers acting on our behalf. These providers process the data only for the purpose of providing the app’s AI analysis features.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertising networks for targeted advertising. We may share limited information with trusted service providers that help us operate the app, including cloud hosting and database providers, AI processing providers, authentication providers, push notification providers, payment and subscription processing providers, app infrastructure and update providers, analytics, crash reporting, or diagnostic service providers. These service providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to Belean.
7. Data Storage and Security
We store user data using secure cloud infrastructure. Photos and scan data are stored in private storage and are not intended to be publicly accessible. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and secure network communication. Access to user photos and personal data is limited and may occur only when necessary for app operation, security, debugging, support, or resolving technical issues. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account information, photos, scan history, cropped scan images, and cosmetic tracking results for as long as your account remains active, unless deletion is requested or required by law. We keep scan history so the app can show progress over time. If you delete your account, we will delete or permanently de-identify personal data associated with your account, including photos, cropped images, profile data, onboarding data, and scan-related personal records, except where limited retention is necessary for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud prevention, subscription management, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Some non-identifying, aggregated, or anonymized analytics may be retained because they are not associated with your identity.
9. Account Deletion and Data Deletion
You can delete your Belean account from within the app, if the feature is available. You may also request account deletion or data deletion by contacting us at: beleansupport@gmail.com
When you request account deletion, we will delete or permanently de-identify personal data associated with your account, subject to limited retention where required for legal, security, fraud prevention, subscription, or operational reasons. Deleting the app from your device does not automatically delete your Belean account or stored data. You must delete your account from within the app or contact us to request deletion.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and personal data, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, disable notifications, or stop using the app and delete your account. To make a privacy request, contact us at beleansupport@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
11. Payments and Subscriptions
Subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. Belean does not collect or store your full payment card details or carrier billing details. Payment information is handled by Google Play according to Google’s own terms and privacy practices. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Google Play account settings. Deleting your Belean account may not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. You should cancel your subscription through Google Play if you no longer want to be charged.
12. Notifications
Belean may send push notifications, such as reminders or app-related updates, if notifications are enabled. You can control notifications through your device settings or app settings.
13. International Data Processing
Belean may use service providers located in different countries. As a result, your information may be processed or stored outside your country of residence. When we use service providers, we take reasonable steps to ensure that your information is handled according to this Privacy Policy.
14. No Advertising Inside the App
Belean does not currently display third-party ads inside the app. Belean does not currently use advertising SDKs for targeted advertising inside the app. If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy as required.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the app or by other appropriate means. The “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was last revised. Your continued use of Belean after changes are posted means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
